EVA-MARIA HAUER
(AUSTRIA)

ME AND MY FRIEND NINA!

Since my birth I suffer to Spastic Diphlegie and strong hindrance when I am going.
I could never perform sports, but my friend Nina changed so much for me. It came so: Hasso, our German shepherd was made sleepy in the year 1998. He was already 16 years old. The whole family was terribly sad. We thought over very long. But we finally bought 2 little love, droll pups, a boy and a girl. The girldog Nina belongs to me. I love here very much. Unfortunately, she is very anxious and cowardly, because her brother is very dominant. As well as I could, I did my best and helped her. Of course we went also to the school for dogs. We made the first examination in summer 1999. Then we stopped the education and looked for another occupation. We got to know Agility and it gave both of us great pleasure. My Nina had special fun!

So we could already take part in a tournament in summer 2000 . But I am very handicapped in running and so I couldn't compete with the other participant. Nina was much faster than me. Our start always almost ended in the disqualification. It made me very sad. I saw myself no longer suitably for this sports. However, I still took part in the Austrian championship. There I heard about the 1st Par_Agility-Worldcup in Guyla. I was enthusiastic. This was ideal for me and my dog. I was very much pleased that I was allowed to take part. My expectations were exceeded. I saw people taking part with much stronger hindrance then mine. They led her four-legged partners with very big success. I could learn much from these people. Now it is no longer so important for me to compete with healthy partners. We have regained our joy and we still would like to do this sports for a long time again.
