DEMONSTRATION JOEP AS SERVICEDOG
Dog-show 25 & 26 -10-2008, Utrecht
On 25 en 25 October there was been organised a big Dog-show in the Veemarkthallen in Utrecht by Sponsor Eukanuba and dogschool Utrechtse Rashonden Vereniging.
Judging more then 2500 dogs........I
have seen a lot of different breeds.
Also organised by the dogschool some demonstrations like: agility, flyball and
obedience.
They had asked me to take part into the demonstration agility to show the
para-agility and at the same time give a demonstration with my dog as
servicedog.
For Joep his first official demonstration.......very exciting for both of us!

On saterday we start with agility, after
this immediately the demonstration servicedog..not a very good idea,
because when we go back into the ring Joep saw the obstacles and thought:
okay.......another run agility ;-)
Joep was at the begin a little restless, but after that he had done his
program very nicely. |
First a short talk and explain about
servicedogs and para-agility and then the demonstration started.
Joep was showing things like: put on his collar, walking close near the
wheelchair on the right- and left side, when there's something on the ground
like a piece of bread not to touch ( and not eat of course), pick up things and
give to me (like bunch of keys/ knife / post/ meats and sausages/ fruit).

Also clothes in and out the washing-machine.........a
big box of cardboard with a hole ;-)
Further give the purse to the person behind a table (cassier in shops) wait a
little and pick up again and give back to me.
As last get out purchases of a shopping bag (example milk /
dogbiscuits/ tin of drinks)
His first demonstration was succesfull...I was very proud of him !!
On undermentioned a short part of his demonstration (bread/ coat/ coin/ washing-machine/ purse)
